Sunday April 30th

Tottenham 1 Bolton 0

Aaron Lennon scored the lone goal for Tottenham to keep the Spurs in fourth place.  Tottenham will be guaranteed a fourth place finish if they win next weekend at West Ham.

It was the last home game of the season at White Hart Lane.  The Spurs went with only two defeats at home all season. 

Paul Stalteri played 90 minutes.

Saturday April 22nd

Arsenal 1 Tottenham 1

Tottenham remain in control of fourth place after a tie at Highbury on Saturday April 22nd.  It was a derby that lived up to expectations and one that fans will certainly remember as the two teams met for the last time at Highbury.

Robbie Keane scored in the 66th minute to put the Spurs in the lead.  Tottenham had dominated most of the first half and had already had a few chances to open the score.

Thierry Henry did not start and was substituted into the match for Van Persie in the 62nd minute.  He was the player who ended up levelling the score in the 84th minute. 

Tottenham were reduced to ten men in the 85th minute when Edgar Davids was sent for his second bookable offence.

Paul Stalteri played 90 minutes.

Friday April 21st

Arsenal v Tottenham:  Preview

Arsenal host Tottenham at Highbury in a much anticipated London derby.  Kick-off is at 12.45.

Tottenham are currently in fourth place, four points ahead of Arsenal who have a game in hand.  This is a crucial game in the battle for the last Champions League spot.

Martin Jol is without Jermain Jenas and Ledley King.  Edgar Davids, Mido and Anthony Gardner will all face last minute fitness tests.

Arsenal are without Sol Campbell and Lauren.  Ashley Cole and Gael Clichy are working on their match fitness and played for the reserves this week.

For Canadian fans, the game will be televised live on Sportsnet with coverage beginning at 7.30.

Saturday April 15th

Tottenham 1 Manchester United 2

Manchester United defeated Tottenham on their home turf on Easter Monday.  The only other team the Spurs have lost to so far this season at White Hart Lane was Chelsea.

Tottenham remain in fourth place, however Arsenal have a game in hand.

Wayne Rooney scored both goals for Manchester United in the first half to keep their slim mathematical chance of winning the Premiership alive.

Jermain Jenas was able to bring the Spurs within one in the 53rd minute, but they were unable to find the equalizer.

Paul Stalteri played 90 minutes.

Saturday April 15th

Everton 0 Tottenham 1

Tottenham have maintained their four point lead on Arsenal with a win at Goodison Park.  The Spurs remain in fourth place with 61 points.

Robbie Keane converted a penalty in the 33rd minute to give the Spurs the away win. 

Martin Jol made only one change to the starting line-up from last weekend and played with Jermain Defoe upfront.  Mido picked up a groin injury and was not in the squad.

Paul Stalteri played 90 minutes.

Tottenham will host Manchester United on Monday April 17th at White Hart Lane.  Kick-off is at 12.45.

Friday April 14th

Everton v Tottenham:  Preview

Everton host Tottenham at Goodison Park on Saturday April 15th.  Kick-off will be at 15.00.  Everton have a slim chance of qualifying for Europe and will need to win as many games as possible before the end of the season to make that happen.

Tottenham are still in pursuit of clinching fourth place, they currently have 58 points and are four points ahead of Arsenal and Blackburn.  Spurs coach Martin Jol will only be missing defender Michael Dawson.  He is serving his second of a two game suspension.

The game will not be televised for Canadian viewers.

Saturday April 8th

Tottenham 2 Manchester City 1

Paul Stalteri scored his first Premiership goal in Tottenham's win over Manchester City.  He scored just before the half and it was his second goal for Tottenham this season.  Michael Carrick scored the second of the match in the 49th minute.

Manchester City has lost to Tottenham in both fixtures this season.  They have lost five consecutive games.  Georgios Samaras scored in the 52nd minute to bring Manchester City within one. 

Tottenham remain in fourth place with 58 points.

Friday April 7th

Tottenham v Manchester City

Tottenham host Manchester City at White Hart Lane on Saturday April 8th.  Kick-off will be at 12.45. 

Martin Jol is without Michael Dawson who is suspended.  Ledley King will undergo a late fitness test to determine whether or not he is able to play after picking up an ankle injury before the trip to Newcastle.  Teemu Tainio is back to full fitness after recovering from a throat injury. 

Manchester City will be without Sun Jihai (suspension) and Joey Barton (ankle).  Claudio Reyna is available along with Sylvain Distin.

The match will be televised live for Canadian viewers on Sportsnet at 7.30 EST.

Saturday April 1st

Newcastle 3 Tottenham 1

Tottenham suffered a defeat at St. James' Park in the Premiership this weekend.  The Spurs remain in fourth place, but their lead verses Arsenal has been reduced.  Arsenal are only two points back with a game in hand.

Newcastle struck first blood in the early minutes of the match when Lee Boyer scored in the second minute of the game.  Robbie Keane levelled for Tottenham in the 19th minute when he found the end of a pass from Aaron Lennon.  The lead was short lived and Newcastle went ahead once again in the 25th minute after a goal from Shola Ameobi.  Alan Shearer converted a penalty kick in the 30th minute to increase Newcastle's lead to two goals. 

Ledley King suffered an ankle injury in training and was replaced by Anthony Gardner in the starting line-up.  Mido was deployed upfront and returned to the starting line-up.  

Paul Stalteri was on the substitutes bench.
