Update
Paul Stalteri has had to pull out of the
friendly game against Austria due to an injury he suffered a
few weeks ago. He broke his thumb during the match
against Sunderland on February 12th. After discussions
with doctors and Frank Yallop, it has been decided that it
is in his best interest to avoid taking the risk of the
possibly damaging it further.
"It has been
quite a while since I have played for Canada and I was very
much looking forward to representing my country once again.
Since it was a friendly match, all parties decided that it
was best not to take the risk. I hope to return to the
squad in upcoming matches."
"It is a
frustrating injury because I am able to play. The
doctors have told me that the break is healing well and I
