Tuesday July 12th

Paul Stalteri remains in London

In a last minute decision on Monday, it was decided that Paul Stalteri would not be travelling with the team to South Korea.  He has remained in London with a personal fitness program to complete.  Tottenham will play their first game in the Peace Cup against Boca Juniors of Argentina on July 16th.  For more information on the Peace Cup, visit the official website at www.peacecup.com.   

 

Monday July 11th

Paul Stalteri on his way to South Korea for the Peace Cup

Tottenham Hotspur FC are on their way to South Korea as they continue their preseason preparation.  They will take part in the Peace Cup which makes use of the stadiums built for the 2002 World Cup.  Eight teams from all over the world are taking part in the tournament.  Tottenham will play against Boca Juniors (Argentina) on July 16th, Sundowns (South Africa) on July 18th and Real Sociedad (Spain) on July 21st.  If they reach the final they will play an additional game on July 24th.  For more information on the Peace Cup, visit the official website at www.peacecup.com.

Paul Stalteri will travel to South Korea with the squad and says "I am looking forward to travelling with the team and hopefully playing my first games in a Tottenham jersey."

 

Friday July 1st

Paul Stalteri is set to join his new club Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday July 2nd for the opening day of training camp.  After spending nearly 8 years in Germany, Stalteri is looking forward to his new challenge in England “It will be something completely new for me, but I am looking forward to the challenge and I hope that I can get to know the guys on the team as quick as possible”.  Stalteri also explains why he believes this time of the season is one of the most important, “The pre season is so important because it lays the ground work for the entire season, and it is so important to prepare for the long season ahead”. Spurs will begin preseason in England before they fly out to South Korea for the Peace Cup later this month.
