Paul Stalteri to leave Werder Bremen at the end of the season

"I would like to announce that I am leaving Bremen at the end of this season.  I have enjoyed my 8 years in Bremen and the decision to leave has been the most difficult decision I have ever had to make in my football career.  I have also decided to leave Germany and pursue my career abroad, although where I will be next season is not yet confirmed.  I would like to thank the fans for their continued support and I want to let them know that I am committed to the team and will fight as always until the end of the season.
