Training
camp in Belek
So far,
Paul Stalteri has had a tough, but very productive
training camp in Belek, Turkey. "I feel great and
am looking forward to the second half of the season.
I maintained a fitness program while I was on vacation
in Toronto and that has helped me return to game form"
says Paul Stalteri.
The
first scheduled friendly game for Werder Bremen took
place on Saturday January 8th against Eintracht Trier.
The two teams faced each other in the German Cup and it
was obvious that Trier were looking for revenge as they
defeated Werder 5-1.

Paul Stalteri returns to Bremen
Paul Stalteri has
returned to Bremen in preparation for
the second half of the season.
Following the winter break, the team
will report for practice on January 3rd.
The players return to a very intense
schedule and will play in two indoor
tournaments before traveling to Turkey
on January 6th for training camp.
At the end of a very successful 2004,
Werder Bremen suffered a very sad loss as one of the
very prominent board members suddenly passed away days
before 2005. Dr. Franz Böhmert played a very important
part in the development of the club and will be sadly
missed. Paul Stalteri would like to wish his
condolences to Dr. Böhmert’s family and friends.
