 Robbie Aristodemo

Robbie Aristodemo began playing soccer at the age of 7 and played for various club teams before finding his home with the Malton Bullets.  Robbie was awarded a scholarship at Tulsa University in Oklahoma.  Immediately after completing his degree he returned to Toronto to begin his professional career with the Toronto Lynx.  He was awarded A-League Rookie of the year as well as Team MVP in his first season with the Toronto Lynx (2001).  In 2002 he lead the A-League in minutes played.

Robbie has excelled both in the A-League and MISL over the past few years and has recently been traded to the Cleveland Force of the MISL.  He has signed a three year contract with the MISL Cleveland Force.

Robbie began his International career with the U16 National Team.  He was a key member of the Canadian squad in the U17 World Cup in Japan, the U20 World Cup in Malaysia, and the U23 Olympic team.  He also has seven caps for the Men's World Cup team.

He spends his free time playing pool, watching movies and maintains a regular workout schedule on top of his team practice commitments.  He met his fiancée Carrie in San Diego and they are planning on a Summer 2005 wedding.

Zinedine Zidane

Who are your favourite athletes?

Michael Jordan and all the guys I played with for the Bullets; Paul Stalteri, Jason Bent and Marco Reda.

Communicate with friends and family via phone and internet.  I always find the time to be with people I love.

Yes, every match for a few minutes before the game.

What does it take to become a professional soccer player?

It is very important to eat right, to have the right attitude, a willingness to improve, and to be able to bounce back mentally.  Becoming a professional soccer player involves a lifetime of training, sacrifice, determination and dedication.

What would you say is your most memorable moment?

I would have to say that my most memorable moment in soccer was the 1997 U20 World Cup in Malaysia.  Off the pitch, it is without a doubt proposing to my fiancée and buying my first house in Arizona.
